Teaching as Inquiry

Teaching as inquiry is a critical aspect of effective pedagogy because it is aiming at improving the outcomes for all students. This year I will be completing an inquiry into Reading within my classroom. My teaching inquiry is to investigate through a variety of approaches, strategies and scaffolds, the effect of the meaning , use (oral,written) and form ( grammar) of words in accelerating reading comprehension.


I will be using Helen Timperley’s inquiry cycle
